Football protective gears

Football has been called the number one sport in the world, but it’s actually more than just a sport. No other sport touches every aspect of people’s lives as much as football. In the sport of football, the injury rate does not seem to be as high as that of basketball, but it is also worthy of the attention of friends of this sport. At the same time, sports protection must be done so as to better go to healthy sports. It is a common sports injury sorted out for everyone.

1. Cruciate ligament injury

Excessive extension or abduction of the knee joint can cause injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint. For example, when the knee is bent, external force is applied to the femur from front to back, or the external force hits the upper end of the tibia from back to front, can cause the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament. When flexing the knee, the external force hits the upper end of the tibia from front to back, causing excessive rearward displacement of the tibia, which can cause injury to the posterior cruciate ligament and even posterior dislocation of the knee joint.

2. Meniscus injury

The meniscus are two crescent-shaped fibrocartilages located on the articular surfaces of the inner and outer tibial plateau. Its cross-section is triangular, thick on the outside and thin on the inside. The upper surface is slightly concave to fit the femoral condyle, and the lower surface is flat, connecting with the tibia plateau. This structure just makes the femoral condyle form a deeper depression on the tibial plateau, thereby increasing the stability of the spherical femoral condyle and the tibial plateau.

3. Muscle strain

This is an injury caused by sharp muscle contraction or excessive stretching during exercise. This easily occurs during pull-ups and sit-ups. After a muscle strain, the site of the strain is severely painful, and the cord-like hard lump formed by muscle tension can be felt with the hand, the touch is obvious, the local swelling or subcutaneous bleeding, and the movement is obviously restricted.

4. Tibia fracture

This is a relatively common fracture, mostly in young and middle-aged people, with more male patients than females. Tibia fractures are intra-articular fractures. In severe cases, they can also be combined with meniscus and joint ligament injuries. Therefore, tibia fractures can easily cause knee dysfunction. In order to obtain the maximum recovery function, when dealing with this kind of fracture, different treatment methods should be adopted according to the severity of the injury, the type of injury, and the condition of the combined injury.
